The Silveren Spiegel is an atmospherically decorated restaurant in the city center of Amsterdam, situated in a building from 1614. In the summer months it is wonderful to stay on the terrace where we are welcomed by a friendly host. The dishes are tasty, balanced and complement each other well. The langoustine is cooked to perfection and the combination of lava oil and bisque is very tasty. Between courses our host tells us animatedly about the history of the building, which adds to the experience. The matching wines are expertly selected and explained expertly. We conclude with a dessert of rhubarb, crème anglaise and raspberry as a successful combination of fresh, sweet, sour, fruity and creamy. A higher rating is required.
